Day 01. Flight or Train to Lhasa(Alt.3650m)3 star hotel(Yak hotel or Similar rate hotel)
Arrival in Lhasa Airport or Train station.your guide and drive will greet scarf you Welcome to Tibet and take you driving through the Yurlung Tsangpo river valley and Lhasa river valley to Lhasa city.(Lhasa means place of Gods),Transfer to Hotel and you will check in ,Take a rest of day will acclimatized to high altitude ,You will experience mild symptoms of the altitude sickness such as headache,dizziness,disorientation,breathlessness etc but it should go away in a day or two,please drink plenty of water and consume liquid food,
Normally Every tourist is need to drinking 3 to 4 liters of water a day for high altitude,
Day 02. Lhasa city sightseeing tour:Drepung monastery and Sera monastery
Today Morning we will visit to Drepung monastery,The largest and the most powerful monastery of the three major yellow hat / Gelupa sect monasteries of the Tibet,
The main head center of the Tibet spiritual before the 5th Dalai Lama moved to Poatala palace,In Drepung,we will visit Ganden palace,Main Assembly and Collegues of Drepung,
Sera monastery was founded by Jamchen Choji Sakya Yashi in 1419,the second largest Buddhist monastery and which is another one of the three Guelph sect (Yellow hat) Buddhist monastery in the Tibet,
In the monastery one most attraction to see by local pilgrimage and tourist is the monks debating on the Tibetan Buddhism philosophical and theological in the debating courtyard,
Day 03. Lhasa city sightseeing tour: Potala palace and Jokhang Temple with Barkhor street
Potala palace was first founded in 7th century by Tibetan 33rd king Songtsen Gampo on the Red hill,The modern palace complex was reconstructed by the great
5th Dalai Lama in 17th century,after that it has become the new residence winter palace and the main seat place for spiritual and government of the Dalai lamas ,
Potala palace is divided to two different palace,Red palace and White palace,
Inside the Potala palace you can see the Gilded tomb stupa of former Dalai lamas ,The meditation cave of Songtsen Gampo,etc
Jokhang Temple which was built in 7th century by great 33rd king Songtsen Gampo and his two princess from China and Nepal.The Jokhang temple is the holiest Buddhist temple of Tibet ,located at central of the Lhasa city,inside you can see the image statue of the present buddha(Buddha Sakyamuni )at the age of twelve and many other Buddha statues ,the old printings in wall,etc
Jokhang has been a major pilgrimage destination for more than thousand years and is always busy with pilgrims walking clockwise around and prostrating in front of temple,
Day 04. Drive from Lhasa to Ganden monastery,Alt.3800m
An hour’s drive to Ganden monastery ,which was bounded by Ji Tsongkhapa in 1409,the first Gelupa sect (Yellow hat)monastery in the Tibet,first we will visit the monastery and after lunch 5 to 6 hours trek to Dupshi valley,Camping
Day 05. Trek from Dupshi to Yamado,Camping
Trek begins from Dupshi valley ,the trek start side of ridge from the saddle ,the trail reaches a super surmounted by a cairn ,a spring and then the village of Hepburn in 2 hrs to Yamado,
Day 06. Trek from Yamado to Nyeko Dor,Camping
Yamado to Nyeko via Shuga-la pass 5250m,the basin negotiating boulder and lumpy ground along the final steep climb to the pass.The route continue cover the Shuga la pass following the cairned trail descending gradually and reaching the valley in 5 to 6 hrs from pass.Normal Nomad herders with their herd of Yaks be found here,
Day 07. Trek from Nyeko Dor to Yamalung,Camping
Today you will trek about 5 hours ,walk up side valley to Sukhe la,lower and easier than the jooker La,the climb is gradual except for the short,steep section near the top,Descend past two glacial lakes,from the tostup chu valley ,follow a small tributary entering from the south-west .the route followed steeply upwards for 30 mins until you reach to large basin.the terrain is not particularly difficult to reach Chitu-la pass 5150m which is marked by several cairns,
Day 08. Trek From Yamalung to Samya monastery,Monastery hotel
from Yamalung to Samya monastery ,we will take the local Jeep ,check in hotel and lunch,
Afternoon visit to Samya monastery ,
Samya monastery was founded by Guru Rinpochen and King Trison Detsen in 8 th century,Samya was the first Buddhist monastery and first Buddhist school in the Tibet,this monastery is longs to the Nyingmapa sect(Yellow hat)
Day 09. Drive from Samya to Lhasa or Tsedang ,
you will drive along side the Yurlung Tsangpo river and on the way visit to Dorji Dark monastery ,
If you will trip to Tsedang,the first ancient capital city of the Tibet before the Lhasa was become main city of the Tibet,afternoon visit Yumbulhakang Temple and Thendruk monastery,Hotel
Day 10. Transfer to Lhasa airport,flight to own destination,The tour Ends
