Trip Itinerary

Day 01. Arrival in Lhasa (Alt is 3650m) 3-star hotel, Yak hotel or similar rate hotel,
You will be picked up at Lhasa Airport or Train station at a fixed time and
Your Tibetan guide and driver will greet you welcome to Tibet, then escort you to the downtown hotel. After transfer to the hotel, try to rest and drink as much water as you can to better acclimatize the high altitude of 3650 meters above sea level,
From airport to Lhasa city, usually takes one hour – one and half hours, From Railway station to Lhasa city, about 30 minutes,

Day 02. Lhasa city sightseeing tour: Drepung monastery and Sera monastery
This’s morning, you will visit the Drepung monastery, Drepung monastery was founded by Jamyang Choje Tashi Palden in 1416. Which is one of the three greatest Gelukpa monasteries and the largest Buddhist monastery of Tibet, you can visit the Ganden palace, Main Assembly hall, the main biggest monastery Kitchen and Dratsang( collages)
In the afternoon, you will visit Sera monastery, which is the second-largest Buddhist monastery and one of the three great Gelukpa monasteries of Tibet, This Monastery was founded by Jamyang Choje Sakya Yeshi in 1419. One of Tsongkhapa’s main disciples,
The hot attraction to see is monks debate in debating courtyard, in addy. You can tour the Tibetan religious scriptures printing textbooks house, main assembly hall, Dratsang( collages), and the three colors sand mandalas chapel

Day 03. Lhasa city sightseeing tour: Potala Palace and Jokhang temple with Barkhor street

Day 04. Drive from Lhasa to Shigatse via Gyantse(Alt is 3860meters ). Manasarovar hotel or Sakya palace hotel)360km approx 9 to 10 hours
Today we will drive to Shigatse city, enjoy a 1.5hour drive from Lhasa to Kamba- la pass ( 4794 m) to appreciate the spectacular view of Yamdruk Yumtso lake with the snow mountains, one of the four holy lakes in Tibet. the lake lays several hundred meters below the road, and it is shaped like a coiling scorpion,
Continue your trip to Karl-la pass (5039m) and Mount.Nyenchenkangsar(7191m). decorate by several snow-capped mountains over 6000meters surrounding, it is the most accessible glacier site on the Tibetan plateau. The famous glacier is below the south ridge of the mountain and the Similar-la forward to Gyantse town,
Visit Palkhor Monastery amazes you with its Kumbum, with has 108 chapels on its 9 floors. the multi-storied Kumbum Stupa was crowned with a golden dome and umbrella, surrounded by more chapels filled with unique religious statues and murals. both of them were built in 1418 and situated on the northwest edge of Gyantse

Day 05. Drive from Shigatse to Saga town( Alt is 4500m)Local Tibetan family hotel,450km approx 9 to 10 hours
Today, we will drive to Saga town, the cross few gentle mountain passes and a lake and local Tibetan farmers and Nomads on the way, we cross the Yarlung Tsangpo River(Brahmaputra river) and after crossing the road enters a river valley with scattered villages. this is a beautiful area for photographs. we continue on, past the turn off for the northern route, and arrive at saga,

Day 06. Drive from Saga to Darchen( Alt is 4675m) Local hotel, approx 9 to 10hours
In the morning, we will first be driving about 167 km from Saga to Drongpa county, which is at the source of the Yurlung Tsangpo river( Brahmaputra river)
Next, we will make a small detour to Lake Manasarovar, the holy lake of both Tibet and Hinduism. you can a relaxing trip around the lakeshore and experience the natural beauty of Lake Manasarovar with snow-capped mountains in the background, you may also see many pilgrims praying and cycling around the lakeshore.
In the late afternoon, we will reach Darchen, a small town at the foot of Mount. Kailash. our tour guide will assist you to arrange trekking yaks and porters and doing some preparation for your following 3 days of trekking around Mt.Kailash kora,

Day 07. First day Kailash kora to Driraphuk gonpa( Alt is 4920m) Guesthouse
Today is the first day of your Mount. Kailash kora. we will first take the environment-friendly bus from Darchen to Samsung, where your porters are waiting for you. the 8 kilometers journey takes about 40 minutes by Bus. then we start to trek
After two hours, we come upon a grassy plain populated by nomads. for this turn in the valley it is another two hours at least before reaching Driraphuk,

Day 08. Second day Kailash kora from Driraphuk to Zultriphuk gonpa(Alt is 4810m)Guesthouse,22 km approx 10 to 11 hours walking
Today, start the hardest and most tough kora with the Dolma-la pass(5650meters), Dolma-la means Taras pass, which is lying 6.5km ahead but 762m above Driraphuk
It is better to set off early in the morning as the sun rays break over the ridges above the peak of Dolma-la pass at 5650m above sea level.
After taking a rest and photos at the peak of Dolma-la pass, you will take about one hour from the pass descend to lhachu valley floor. from which there is still four hours trekking to today’s final destination with on shelters on the way, it is better to walk on the right side of the river and finally get to Zultriphuk gonpa( with miracle cave of Milarepa), take a good rest in guesthouse room and prepare for next morning’s departure

Day 09. Third day Kailash kora from Zultriphuk to Darchen,12 km approx 3 to 4 hours walking
The last kora day starts with a trip to Milarepa’s Cave, where the temple and shrines have been built around .then we walk back to Darchen is easy and the exit from the valley can be reached within three hours, have lunch at Darchen and continue short drive to Chiwu gonpa/ Manasarovar lake, local guesthouse

Day 10. Drive from China gonna/ Manasarovar lake to Saga, Same hotel
Today, we will take the same road drive back to the saga,

Day 11. Drive from Saga to Shigatse ( Alt is 3860m) Manasarovar hotel or Sakya palace hotel,450 km approx 9 to 10 hours
Today, we will take the same road driving back to Shigatse city which we came from Shigatse to the saga, afternoon we will visit Tashilhunpo Monastery and Tibetan old town and Tibetan market

Day 12. Drive from Shigatse to Lhasa,270 km approx 6 hours
Today, we will drive to Lhasa by following the Yarlung Tsangpo river valley, on the way we can stop at the Tibetan traditional hand-making incense factory, you can stand on the viewing platform and view the vast Yurlung river bed. finally, the guide will transfer to hotel and free time to last day explore the Lhasa city, you have a Goodbye Tibetan hot pot dinner,

Day 13. Transfer to Airport or Train station
Your guide and driver will transfer you to Lhasa Airport or Lhasa Train station,
