Trip Itinerary

Day 01. Arrival in Lhasa
When you arrive in Lhasa either by flight or Train,your guide and driver will greet you welcome to Tibet and drive along the valley view of the Yurlung tsangpo river and Lhasa river to Lhasa,after transfer you to hotel and you will check in and your guide will help you to get checked in,you can a rest for get acclimatized to high altitude and do an easy walking around the Barkhor street and the Potala palace square,

Day 02. Lhasa city sightseeing tour: Drepung monastery and Sera monastery (3 star hotel ,Yak hotel or similar rate hotel)
Drepung monastery was founded in 1416 by the Jamyang Chogyi Tashi palden ,one of the famous disciple of Ji Tsongkhapa,The Drepung monastery is the largest and one the great three Gelupa school in Tibet,
Sera monastery was founded by Jamchen Chogyi Sakya Yashi in 1419, also one the great disciple of the Ji Tsongkhapa,sera is the second largest monastery in Tibet and belongs to the Gelupa school( Yellow hat), inside the monastery one hot attraction to see by local pilgrimage and tourist is the monks debate on the Tibetan Buddhism ,Philosophical and theological in debating courtyard,

Day 03. Lhasa city sightseeing tour (3 start hotel,Yak hotel or similar rate hotel

Potala palace was founded in 7th century by the Tibetan 33rd king Songtsen Gampo on Red Hill,During the 17th century the great 5th Dalai Lama reconstructed of fortres for modern side building of Potala palace,After that Potala is known as the winter residence palace of the Dalai Lamas,The spiritual and political center of Dalai Lamas,Recognized as world heritage site in 1994, this magical fortress was even saved and overcrowded flow of pilgrimage and tourist,this ancient structure has been severally damaged,the building measures total 350,000sqm.stone wall average 3m to 5m thick at the base,copper poured into the foundation to help proof it against earthquake.
Inside the Potala you can see the golden tomb stupa of the former Dalai lamas,The meditation cave of the king Songtsen Gampo in 7th century,the more than 10.000 shrines and about 200.000 statues and the old printing murals,
Jokhang Temple was founded in 7th century by the famous Tibetan 33rd king Songtsen Gampo and two princess in the center of the Lhasa,The temple was constructed of the Tibetan and Niweri styles,the main image statue of inside the Jokhang temple is Present Buddha (Sakyamuni) at the age of twelve,
Jokhang has been a major pilgrimage destination for over thousand years and is always busy with pilgrims walking around and prostrating in front of Temple,

Day 04. Drive from Lhasa to Shiagtse Via Gyantse( 3 star hotel,)  Manasarovar hotel or Sakya palace hotel)270km approx 7 to 8 hours, Alt is 3860m
Today we will drive to Shigatse via mountain passes of Gampa- la pass 4798m,Karo-la pass 5039m and Similar-la pass 4430m,The Holy lake Yamdruk Yumtso, Karo la Glacier and Gyantse town ,reach on the first mountain pass you will see a glimpse of Yamdruk Yumtso lake, 5039the lake is surrounded by snow mountains and in the far distance you can see a beautiful high snow mountain is Mount.Nyangchen Kangsar 7191m,then we will drive continue head to Karo-la pass and Nyangchen Kangsar and Karo-la glacier to Gyantse,we can visit to Gyantse Palchuk monastery and the Kumbum stupa, after finish to sightseeing monastery continue 90km and one and half hours driving to Shigatse,

Day 05. Drive from Shiagtse to Shegar ( Qomolangma hotel or Shegar grand hotel)240km approx 5 to 6 hours,Alt is 4200m
In morning first we can visit to Tashilhunpo monastery ,the largest Buddhist monastery in Shigatse region and 4th largest monastery in Tibet,
Tashilhunpo monastery was founded in 1447 by first Dalai Lama (Gunden Drupa),
Tashilhunpo monastery is seat home monastery of the successive Panchen Lamas since from the fourth Panchen Lama took charge in monastery,
Inside the monastery you can see the main image statue of Maitteya buddha( future Buddha) built by 9th Panchen Lama in 1914, the biggest gilded made statue in the world a half sitting inside chapel, the statue stands 26.2m high and 16.8m wide length, the statue is decorated with gold, copper,pearls,Ambers,corals, Diamond and many another precious stones,The golden tomb stupa of the former Panchen Lamas,same like we seen Dalai lamas tomb stupa in Potala palace ,the main assembly hall and other different Buddha chapels,Then we will drive to Shegar ,on the way we will stop at the two mountain pass,Tso-la pass 4500m and Gyatso-la pass 5220m for pictures of landscapes and the snow mountains,we can take a lunch at lhatse,after we will reach to top of gyatso-la pass,in here you will enter the Qomolangma national nature reserve park,then we drive descend along the Lhulo river valley to Shegar,on the road you can see the Mt.Everest and other Himalaya mountains,

Day 06. Drive from Shegar to Rongbuk monastery/ Mt. Everest( Monastery Guesthouse)110km approx 4 to 5 hours,Alt is 5150m
Today we can leave at early in morning drive to top of the mountain pass(Gyawu-la pass 5198m)to take the sunrise panorama view of the Mt. Everest(Tibetan called Chomolangma, means goddess mother of mountains)and other Himalayan peaks above the 8000meters,like Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt.Shishapangma, from Top of the Gyawu- la pass you can see the most beautiful and the best panoramic views of the Himalayan mountains and the Five peaks above 8000meters,this is only place where you will see the best amazing views of the Himalayan mountains and the five peaks above 8000 meters standing in same time, if weather is permits, after we will drive descend to zigzag road to ECO bus or Schedule Bus station place,in there we will take the eco bus to Rongbuk monastery for half hour driving,don’t forget to take your sun block,sun glasses,extra lawyers and down jackets,In the Rongbuk monastery you can see the amazing view of the sunset and sunrise at the Everest,

Day 07. Drive from Rongbuk monastery to Shigatse( Manasarovar hotel or Sakya palace hotel)350km approx 6 to 7 hours
In Morning you can enjoy to see and take an pictures of the sunrise view at the top of Mt.Everest and then we will drive back in same road to Shigatse which we had take the road from Shigatse,on the way we will visit to Sakya monastery,which is the main largest monastery of the sakya school or Red hat,
After that we will drive an hours to Shigatse,check in hotel and free time to explore in town,

Day 08. Drive from Shigatse to Namtso lake to Damxung town( Hotel)Alt is 4300meters
After breakfast We will leave hotel to Namtso lake and it takes about 5 to 6 hours to driving ,along the way there are some place to stop for taking pictures,today is a great day for witnessing Tibet’s natural beauty ,snow mountains,grassland of Nomads and wild animals ,
Namtso lake ,Also called Lake Nam,means Heaven lake,Namtso lake is the highest altitude salt water lake in the world and the biggest lake through out in Tibet ,the altitude is 4718 meters above sea level,
it’s breath taking beauty really deserves the fame as the water here is a story book crystal clear blue.lying at the foot of Nyaingchentanglha mountain,
Beside it’s gorgeous and enchanting scenery,it is respected as one of the four holiest lake and seat of Paramasukha Chakrasamvara by Buddhist pilgrims.which are worshiped by every pilgrim circumambulating the lake,At the lake side there are two standing stones pillars,each rising 30 meters and eight meters apart,some Tibetans believe it is gate god of the Namtso lake,the best season to visit Namtso lake is summer time,

Day 09. Drive from Damxung to Lhasa via Tsurpo monastery(3 star hotel,Yak hotel or similar rate hotel)210km approx 4 to 5 hours
Today we will drive to Lhasa ,on the way we will visit to Tsurphu monastery,
Tsurphu monastery was founded by the first karmapa (Dusum Kyyenpa)in 1189 and is the traditional seat of the Karmapa branch of the Kagyupa order of Tibetan Buddhism.The karmapa are also known as black hats,a little referring to a crown a copy of which was giving to the 5th karmapa by the Chinese emperor Yong lo on 1407.said to be made from the hair of Dakinis,the black hat,embellished with gold,is now kept at Rumtek monastery in Sikkim,India.
You’ll see images of the 16th karmapa wearing the hat,holding it with his hand to stop it flying away.Tsurphu monastery has an annual festival around the time of the Saga Dawa festival,on the the 9th,10th and 11th days of the 4th Tibetan month( around May). There is plenty of free chang( barley beer), as well as ritual Cham dancing and the unfurling of a great Thangka on the platform across the river from the monastery,after visiting all the sites at and around Tsurphu monastery,then we will drive 65 km to Lhasa,

Day 10. Transfer to Lhasa Airport or Train station
